Origami is Fun by Kira Nigassar

Origami –  the traditional art of Japanese paper folding is taught once a week for an hour to the Preschool and Kindergarten age children. Kira learnt the art from her grandfather who is of Japanese descent at a very young age. It has benefited her early childhood development and shaped her adulthood in several ways and the same principles are taught to the Chapter1 preschoolers – motor skills, color, shape, concept of symmetry, spatial thinking and patience!

Origami was the original 3D printer. One of the initiatives at this daycare is to have DIY activities with the children to develop 3D models of the various objects they observe in real world or learn through sketch.
