Chapter1 Daycare is proud to share that our Royal Oak location has received an Educator Training Award from ASaP Kids Included, a publicly funded facilitator training program based out of Edmonton.

This award recognizes select daycare programs that have shown strong engagement, implementation, and measurable success while taking part in the Access, Support and Participation program. The program was created in 2012 to help educators strengthen their skills, knowledge, and confidence so all children can participate meaningfully in their childcare environment.

Our Royal Oak team has completed a full year of educator training and support through the program, with one more year remaining. Throughout this journey, our educators have continued learning new ways to support inclusion, build confidence in the classroom, and create a more welcoming environment for every child in our care.

This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the daily commitment of our educators. Inclusive childcare is not only about training modules or classroom strategies. It is about helping children feel seen, supported, encouraged, and included as they learn and grow.

Chapter1 Daycare is grateful to ASaP Kids Included for the guidance and support provided through this program. We are also proud of our Royal Oak educators for their dedication, openness to learning, and continued focus on meaningful participation for all children.

Our Cedarbrae location is currently undergoing the same training, and we look forward to continuing this important work across our daycare community.
