Chapter1 Saturday Preschool is an artistic-based, weekend drop-off program for children ages 2 – 6 years old (your child CANNOT BE in Grade 1 or higher). Doors open at 9:30am and the program begins promptly at 9:45 am. Children and their teachers will be actively involved in a variety of artistic activities until 11:15 am and all children must be picked up at 11:30am.
After that a late fee of $1 per minute will be charged and if unpaid your remaining registration will be cancelled and money refunded after deducting any late fee charges.
What child will benefit from Chapter1 Saturday Program?
Any child age 2 – 6 years who enjoys lots of activities and fun times with other children! Some of the children who come to the Saturday Program have a stay-at-home parent during the week, so the Saturday Program is a perfect opportunity for socialization and different activities. Some children do not enjoy “running errands” with their parents on Saturday mornings and would rather be engaged in activities for their age level. Some children enjoy artistic-based activities and want something that is geared to their interests.
What will my child be doing each week during Chapter1 Saturday Program?
Each Saturday we will do an activity from each of the following categories:
- Basic Yoga / Stretching
- Choreographed Movement / Dance / Free Expression Movement
- Music / Rhythm / Basic Instruments
- Fine Arts / Crafts / Puppetry
- Free Play (sometimes we will play outdoors, if weather permitting)
What should my child wear / bring?
Children should wear comfortable clothing and bring shoes / slippers to wear inside the centre. They should also bring a simple, nut-free snack and a water bottle (properly labeled with your child’s name on it). If they are not fully potty-trained, diapers and wet wipes must also be provided (properly labeled with your child’s name on it). We also MUST have an emergency contact phone number for the parent / guardian where they can be reached during the morning (see section on How to Register).
What does it cost?
This is the inaugaral event developed after conducting trial sessions through open houses and we are offering it at an introductory rate of just $18 for each 2 hour workshop (regular price is $23 per workshop). The ticket has to be purchased for all 3 consecutive workshops. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES for no shows or cancellations. Exception applies (see How the Program works section).
How to Register?
Please fill out the form with as much detail as possible. You only have to register once and your information will be stored securely with us. Please select the Weekend option. One family can register up to 3 children at once. You can purchase future workshops without going through this registration process again. If you have already registered, please indicate during ticket purchase that you are registered with us online.
WALK INS WILL NOT BE PERMIITED. ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY.
How the Program Works?
The program works on minimum group purchase. If the number of tickets remaining shown on this page is greater than 7 then the minimum size has not been reached. So please share this event with your friends and share on your social network to reach the minimum group buying size. If you register online with two or more children on the single submission form, please purchase the same number of tickets on Eventbrite (eg. you registered 3 children from your household online, then please purchase 3 tickets for the workshop group on Eventbrite).
If the minimum group buying size is not reached by midnight of October 20, then the workshop will be cancelled and your money will be refunded. Please allow 3-5 business days for processing refunds.
