Introducing fun arts and crafts projects to our children is a great way to stretch their creativity.
It allows them to express themselves and find new ways to build on imagination.
Here are some crafty DIY ideas that we can do to inspire children.
Pizza Plates
We don’t have to buy art supplies to have a fun craft day, we can use items found at home!
When it comes to making a pizza plate, all you need is paper plates, markers, scissors and construction paper.
With our kids, we can encourage them to cut out shapes of pizza toppings and use the plates as our pizza base.
Popsicle Stick Animals
Have some reusable popsicle sticks at home?
If so, then it’s the perfect time to make popsicle stick animals. We can help our children make the shape of their favourite animals using popsicle sticks and glue them together.
But we can feel free to add some personal touches too! Whether it be sticking on googly eyes or drawing on whiskers and noses.
Cotton Ball Bouquet
The best part of arts and crafts is that each person has their very own way of doing things!
That’s why the cotton ball bouquet is another great option for our children. With a piece of paper, they can colour or design the background in any way they want.
Then they can glue cotton balls in the middle of the page and add stems with markers.
But the choice is up to them on how their masterpiece turns out!
